Many postcards are not identified as to person, place or event in a clear way. So some research is needed to reveal the identity of the postcard. Tools which can help in the identification include a dictionary, even foreign language dictionaries, encyclopedia entries, maps, obviously online search engines like Google, Bing, and Alta Vista, and even family and friends.
